Janet Kay Detherage

Janet Kay Detherage, Marshfield, was born May 23, 1961, to Jimmy Ray and Dorothy (Seals) Massengale in Tulare, California. She departed this life October 1, 2024, in her home surrounded by family. 

Janet was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. She was a CNA at Webco Manor and Marshfield Care Center assisting patients. She also was a loving foster mother, fostering children for over 10 years. A truly inspirational woman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four children (three infants and Kelsey Zottarella); and a brother David Ray Massengale.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Detherage of the home; three children, Terry Detherage of Poplar Bluff, Damain Detherage of Marshfield, Todd and Sabrina Nolan of Germany; brother/sister-in-law, Jerry and Patty Massengale of Oklahoma; niece, Sharon and Byron Jones of Oklahoma; niece, Crystal Massengale of Arkansas; nephew, David Ray Jr. and Tina Massengale; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Massengale; as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be in Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church in Niangua, Missouri, Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Dinner will follow services, and the family will announce where on Sunday.
