Doyle Roberts

Clarence Doyle Roberts, Elkland, MO was born November 2, 1926 in Ava, MO to Clarence Everett and Leoma (Harp) Roberts. He departed this life on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO at the age of 91.

On September 3, 1949, Doyle was united in marriage to Ann Lathem. To this union, four children were born. Doyle was a dairy and beef farmer and a member of Mid-Am Dairy Farmers.  He was also as a member of the Elkland Lions Club, and the Masonic Lodge in Marshfield. He attended Elkland Independent Methodist Church, and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, and watching western movies.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Clarence and Leoma Roberts, and his wife, Ann (Lathem) Roberts.

He is survived by his four children, Jane Sayers, Springfield, MO, Bill Roberts, Elkland, MO, Joe Roberts, Fair Grove, MO, and Sally Roberts, Strafford, MO; his sister, Doris Lucas, Fair Grove, MO; his grandchildren, Daniel Sayers, St. Louis, MO, Kevin Roberts, San Francisco, CA, Ben Sayers, Republic, MO, and Michelle Roberts, Nixa, MO; and his great-grandchildren, Reid Sayers, Republic, MO, Hendrix Hurst, Nixa, MO, and Everett Roberts, San Francisco, CA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Elkland Independent Methodist Church, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in Thorpe Cemetery.
