David W.L. Henderson

David W.L. Henderson, 81, Marshfield, was born December 12, 1940 in Niangua, MO to John A. and Donna (McCowan) Henderson. He passed away at 2:27 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

David was a 1958 graduate of Seymour High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years, where he was stationed in Cuba, Rome, and Vietnam. David had worked at the West Texas VA Hospital in Big Spring, TX, then as a loan officer for People’s State Bank before retiring in 1996. David enjoyed playing golf, and had done so all over the U.S. He loved baseball and had played in Hawaii while in the Marines. He loved to fish and had caught a large trout at Roaring River. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling by RV across the country, viewing mountains, beautiful lakes, National Parks, and going to Alaska.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Massey) Henderson, of the home; two sons, Robert L. Henderson and wife Lisa, CA, Curtis Henderson, KS; four grandchildren, Shane, Christopher, Kendra, and Jessica; and one great-granddaughter, Quinn.

Graveside services with full military honors in the Marshfield Cemetery will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022 under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
