Linda Kay Huckaby

 
 

Linda Kay Huckaby, Marshfield, was born August 6, 1956 to Norman and LulaBell (Mitchell) Hale in Oldfield, MO. She departed this life March 28, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 66.

Linda graduated Salutatorian in her class at Chadwick High School. Johnnie and Linda met roller skating and fell hard for each other. Shortly after they got married on February 27, 1976. To this union two daughters were born, Kelly and Terri. They were married for 47 happy years. Johnnie always claimed that Linda was stuck with him. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Conway, MO. She was in Medical Management with Cox Health for 36 ½ years. She loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved volleyball and bowling. She loved vacations in the summer at the lake with her family, water skiing, wake boarding and tubing. She really liked spending time with everyone. Because of her illness she wasn’t able to attend church or do all the activities and go on vacations that she loved. Linda never complained about her declining health. In her later years she always stayed happy and positive. She passed peacefully with her loving husband at her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two nephews, Dustan and Jason; her brother-in-law, Paul.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Johnnie Ray Huckaby; her children, Kelly Jo Earls of Marshfield, Terri Swearingin of Marshfield; her siblings, Janet Sullenger (Paul) of Taneyville, Brenda Hobbs (Dan) of Ozark, Alan Hale (Teresa) of Oldfield, Joe Hale of Oldfield, Danny Hale (Shelly) of Oldfield; her sister-in-laws, Beverly McCoy (Van) of Springfield, Marilyn Breshears (Neil) of Urbana; three grandchildren, Collin Earls, Brenden Earls, Lynaya Swearingin; two great-grandchildren, Johnnie Earls, and Charlotte Earls; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. No set visitation time.
