James Edward Townlain

James Edward Townlain, Springfield, MO was born November 12, 1948 in Marshfield, MO to Noah and Margeart (Smiley) Townlain. He departed this life on July 7, 2018 in his home at the age of 69.

James was united in marriage to Reta Ann Fite on February 17, 1971. To this union four children were born. James enjoyed fishing and riding bikes. He loved old T.V. westerns and working on old lawn mowers. His family will deeply miss the stories that he told.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jerry and Gary Townlain.

He is survived by his wife, Reta Townlain, of the home; his children, Doreta Browers (David), Springfield; Tammy Deckard, Springfield; James Townlain (Angel), Elkland, and Debbie Hammett (Paul), Springfield; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several more that have adopted “Old Grandpa.”

Funeral services for James Townlain will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Visitation will be before the funeral service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Marshfield Cemetery.
