Jean O. Deckard, 79, Marshfield, was born June 10, 1941 in Stilwell, OK to Joseph and Opal (Barker) Osbon. She passed away at 9:05 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 in Webco Manor, Marshfield.

Jean had worked in school food service in Florida, then Niangua Schools, which she retired from after 20 years. She ran the Junction restaurant, and worked at McDonald’s in Marshfield. Jean enjoyed farming, gardening, reading, painting, and crocheting. She lived in Niangua for 27 years before moving to Marshfield. She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James Deckard; her parents; siblings, Joe Bill Osbon, Bob Osbon, and Dorothy Alexander; and granddaughter, Alicia Warren.

She is survived by her children, Steven J. Giles and wife Carla, Fair Grove, James M. Deckard and wife Tara, Niangua, Brenda E. Warren, Tyrone, OK, Karen Tharp and husband Bill, Springfield; grandchildren, Amy Warren, Angela Meeks, E.J. Tharp, Jamie Tharp, Rachael Deckard, Brooklyn Deckard, JoDee Deckard, and Mika Deckard; her siblings, Carl Osbon and wife, Wynola, Sublette, KS, Debra Slattery and husband Keith, Phillipsburg, KS, and sister-in-law, Renaee Osbon, Las Vegas, NV.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Black Oak Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
