John Alan Sees
John Alan Sees, Marshfield, was born August 28, 1951 in Marshfield, MO to Alan and Mildred (Hubbard) Sees. He departed this life on February 11, 2019 in his home at the age of 67.
John loved the outdoors and began a career as a dairy farmer, he then started his own construction company in 1990. In his spare time, John enjoyed woodworking, playing cards with a close group of friends, loved watching westerns, and was a champion baker. John was a selfless man and a phenomenal example for his kids to look up to. Toward the end of his life, John wrote the following to his nurse, “Family is everything, Grandkids are your reward.” His true favorite moment in life was when his name was changed to “Poppy”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clifford Sees; and his nephew, Michael Kastning.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Bell) Sees, of the home; his children, Brent Sees (Tiffany), Carl Junction, MO, Stacy Dill (Daniel), Aubrey, TX, Jeremy Cass (Maria), Springfield, MO, Jonna Neterer (Tim), Fulton, MO, Brian Cass (Jessica), Neosho, MO, Jeffrey Cass (Lindsey), Cameron, MO, Rachel Schatzer (Shane), Rogersville, MO, Stephanie Jenkins (Justin), Rogersville, Mo, and Stacy Johnson (Greg), Rogersville, MO; his siblings, Kenneth Sees, Marshfield, MO, Glenn Sees (Wanda), Walnut Grove, MO, Carl Sees (Theresa), Marshfield, MO, Marsha Kastning, Seymour, MO; and 23 grandchildren, Robert, Abriel, Kayden, Gabe, Morgan (Bailey), Alyssa, Felix, Johnathon, Tobin, Kaleb, Isaac, Logan, Thomas, Allie, Owen, Emmett, Lindsay, Chelsea, Megan, Remi, Ryker, Wyler, and Walker.
Funeral services for John Sees will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc, Marshfield, with burial following in Liberty Cemetery, Seymour. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, February 14 in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
