Randy Jay Jones

Randy Jay Jones, Fordland, was born March 15, 1955, to James “Earl” and Della Belle “Williams” Jones in Springfield, MO. He passed away May 22, 2023, at the age of 68.

Randy was a member of the Fordland United Methodist Church where he played piano. He served as secretary in Mt. Olive’s charter Masonic Lodge 439, which is said to be the oldest Masonic lodge operating in its original building west of the Mississippi River. Randy loved his lodge, his church, and southern gospel music. He treasured the time spent with his grandkids and never missed anything they did, he loved them dearly. Randy enjoyed the dances at “The Building” and Sunday nights playing cards. He loved gardening and especially farming. He enjoyed sitting and watching the hummingbirds.

He will be missed dearly, his comforting hugs and long walks. His contagious laughter and joyful dancing. Most of all we will miss being with him on the farm.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jimmy; his sisters, Leatha and Laura; his nephew, Charles Lee Wilkerson.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Jones, of Marshfield; their children, Jessica (Chris) Whitworth, of Marshfield, Randall Jay (Shannon) Jones, Jr., of Marshfield; six grandchildren, Jacob, Jayren, Selbie, Jordyn, James, and Casen; his sister, Brenda Wright (Steve), of Springfield; special nephew who was like a son to him, Andy (Renee) Andrews, and a special great nephew who was like a grandson, Aaron Andrews.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with Masonic services to follow. Visitation will be held before services at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, MO.
