Joan Elizabeth Mathis

Joan Elizabeth Mathis, Strafford, was born August 11, 1935, to Walter Otto and Erna (Wesche) Wienert in Chicago, IL. She departed this life May 23, 2023, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO, at the age of 87 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Joe Mathis; grandson, Jeremy Lytle; great-grandson, Justice Chavez; son-in-law, Jim Lytle; and daughter, Judy Lytle.

She is survived by her children, John and Debbie Mathis, Rogersville, Joe and Becky Mathis, Strafford; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Wienert and Ora, Harrison, AR; one sister, Carol Baughman and Glenn, Harrison, AR; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in Mathis Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
