Brenda Kay Letzig

Brenda Kay Letzig, Marshfield, was born February 20, 1949 in Marshfield, MO to Ronald and Sharlene (Terry) Blankenship. She departed this life on November 2, 2023, in her home at the age of 74.

Brenda had worked as a waitress and cook. She owned a restaurant in the 80’s that she successfully ran, until an injury in a car accident forced her to sell out the restaurant. After recovery from the accident, she was able to go out on the truck with Don which they both enjoyed until retirement. She was a member of High Prairie Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sharlene “Pod” Blankenship; sister, Donna Ray Blankenship; and step-grandson, Tyler Letzig.

Brenda is survived by her husband Don Letzig, of the home; two daughters, Shawna Jones and husband David, Marshfield, and Shelley Letzig, Lee’s Summit; two stepchildren, Barbara Wolfgeher and husband Wilbert, Independence, and Donnie Letzig, Tonganoxie, KS; her father, Ronald Blankenship, Marshfield; two brothers, Ronnie Blankenship and wife Gail, Marshfield, and Terry Blankenship, Marshfield; two sisters, Ronna Wheeler, Marshfield, and Regina Blankenship, Springfield; five grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Marshfield Cemetery Pavilion, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
