Davie Lewis Shrock

Davie Lewis Shrock passed into eternity on October 31, 2023, at age 40. Davie was born to Walter and June Shrock on August 19, 1983, in Bolivar, Missouri.

Davie made a confession of faith in his youth and later he was baptized. He, on a number of different occasions, recommitted himself to the faith but struggled to overcome his addictions.

Davie had a kind, tender heart and a giving spirit. Even when he had next to nothing, he would come to the aid of those around him with even greater need. Many relied upon him for food and warmth in the hardest of times. He was a talented and hard worker, good at just about anything he attempted. Because of his struggle with addiction, he made many choices that hurt himself and often those he loved. He had seasons where he seemed to be winning his battle with addiction but could never fully break free. He will be remembered for his laughter, his kindness and his open, generous heart.

Davie is preceded in death by his mother, June and 4 siblings, Leslie, Tina and two un-named infants. He is survived by his fiancé, Salina; his father, Walter; his children, Adrienne, Michael, Hailey, and Autumn; his soon to be born granddaughter, Josephine; 9 siblings, Owen, Wendell, Wayne, Alvie, Lorita, Jerry, John, Katie and Rachel; as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Romans 8:35, 37-39

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? … No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us… Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 10:9-10

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

 Psalm 4:8

"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety."
