James Howard Livingston

 
 

James (Jim) Howard Livingston was born August 8, 1961 to Clifford and Mary Livingston in Marshfield, Missouri. He was the oldest boy and second oldest child. Jim’s big sister Roseann was his first best friend and this relationship continued throughout his life. Jim went through school in Marshfield where he graduated high school. Jim served in the army where he was called to active duty in Desert Storm but was honorably discharged after suffering a severe heat stroke.

Jim worked many jobs throughout his life as he was a hard working man who wanted to provide the best for his family. Most recently Jim worked for the Lebanon Parks Department during the day and in the Walmart hunting and fishing department on nights and weekends. Jim enjoyed playing softball, fishing with his brothers, shooting guns and watching sports on television and in person. Jim never met a stranger and would always run into someone he knew no matter where he went. Above everything Jim loved his family.

Jim passed peacefully in his home July 30, 2022 in Lebanon, Missouri. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mary (Evans) Livingston, paternal grandparents Joseph and Waunita (Hoyt) Livingston, maternal grandparents Orval and Marjorie (Bullard) Evans and father-in-law Larry Weddle.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Melissa (Weddle) Livingston, his adoring children Monica and Nathan Hawkins, Darina Jutras, Tesha and Naim Tookes, Noah Livingston, and Avry Livingston his cherished grandchildren Kyler and Breelyn Hawkins and Amelia and Nazariek Tookes his beloved siblings Roseann and Randy Witherspoon, Dale and Wanda Livingston, Waunita and Charles Collins, John and Elaine Livingston, Amos and Melissa Livingston and Aunts and Uncles Dan and Barb Wheeler, Dale and Sandy Evans, Tammie and Larry Scott and Edith Shamblin. Jim is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and friends that he cared for deeply. Jim served the Lord, his family and his country whole heartedly and he will be missed greatly.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022.
