She attended Sonrise Christian Church in Marshfield, MO. Family and all who knew her regarded her as a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. She took great pride in being a homemaker where many of her many talents were displayed throughout the home.   Those items included homemade quilts, Brazilian embroidery, crochet, knitting, and tatting. Rosie was an excellent cook. If you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. Her skills also included playing the piano. Playing and singing hymns with her daughters was a favorite past time. She and her sister, Mary, had a small business making custom draperies, bedspreads and upholstering furniture.  Rosie was an ambitious woman and was often a leader in any organization she or children were affiliated with.  She had a special place in her heart for special needs individuals.  Her involvement with caring for her special needs daughter, Cristie, often loving on and going the extra mile to all of Cristie’s friends and housemates. In 2014, she and her husband John were awarded “Parent/Guardian of The Year for Outstanding Contributions and Support of Individuals With Disabilities.”  A handshake would never do. Rosie was a “hugger.”  It didn’t matter if you were a close friend, relative or new acquaintance, you were going to get a hug, like it or not.
