Mary Lou Richerson
Mary Lou (Morgans) Richerson, daughter of Lee and Ona (Austin) Morgans was born in Dallas County, Missouri, on November 3, 1931. She departed this life in Marshfield Care Center on April 12, 2023, at 91 years.
After graduating from Charity High School, she married David Richerson. She never worked at a public job, only a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. “Only” doesn’t include growing a garden and canning for winter months, sewing new clothes, and repairing the old, making quilts, and many daily tasks in running a household. She babysat each of her grandchildren and a few neighbor’s children. She was a caregiver to many family members.
Until her health declined, she was very active in her church, Mission Chapel Baptist, where she was a member for 70 years. She was an active member of Eastern Star for many years. Her and David were long-time members of Missourians on Mission.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, David; daughters, Jennifer Ann Robinson and Mariona Lou Crawford; granddaughter, Rebecca Leigh Crawford; brothers, Elvin Morgans, and Leroy Morgans.
She is survived by one son, Dale and Janette Richerson, Elkland; one daughter, Loretta and Larry Angst, Elkland; sons-in-law, Tommy Robinson, Elkland, Dan Crawford and Retta, Marshfield; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; three sisters, Georgia Tarr, Buffalo, Lola May Cline, Kansas City, Nora Williams, Buffalo; brothers, Harold Morgans, Buffalo, Don Morgans, Buffalo, Leroy Perry, Charity.
Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in Mission Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Choices Pregnancy Center or St. Jude Children’s Hospital and may be left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO 65706.
