Jason W. Estal

Jason Ward Estal, 50, of Seymour Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 29, 2023.

He was the first born son to Larry and LaDonna (Meinders) Estal on February 16, 1972 in St. Louis, MO. He grew up in Saint Charles, Missouri with his parents and younger brother and sister. He attended Zion Lutheran School through middle school. He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in 8th grade. He graduated in 1990 from Francis Howell high school, in Weldon Springs, MO.

In seventh grade, he started mowing lawns and steadily built a successful lawn and landscaping business by the time he graduated high school. He attended community college and attained knowledge in criminal justice and conservation and forestry while continuing to grow his lawn and landscaping business.

He was united in marriage to a lifelong friend, Tina Robinson, on August 25, 2001 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Weldon Springs, MO. They resided in O’Fallon, MO.

Together Jason and Tina have four beautiful children; Haley(19), Lucas(17), Evan(16), and Emily(10).

In 2009 Jason sold his Lawn and Landscaping business in O’Fallon and moved his family to the country in the Marshfield, MO area. He started a job at John Henry Foster, distributing & supplying companies with hydraulic parts for hydraulic equipment.

In 2018 Jason started selling Real Estate with Living the Dream Properties which features beautiful farms and acreage. He made many amazing videos via drone for his property listings.

Jason "lived” for hunting and fishing! He loved anything and everything outdoors. He spent hours planting food crops for deer and turkey on his parent’s 80 acres directly across from where he lived. He spent many days taking down trees, enlarging the water holes to nice size ponds, and filled them with all kinds of fish for the kids to catch. Jason and his sons, Lucas and Evan, finished a 40x60 cabin last year on his parents property so that they could come out and stay and enjoy more than just a day at their 80 acres which everyone has enjoyed.

He loved his BIG garden and greenhouse(that he built). Jason and his wife would spend several weeks canning and freezing food that supplied the family for winter months and if you were lucky enough, he may have given you some of his delicious canned goods too!

4-wheeling was another activity he enjoyed with his family, as well as camping, campfires, and cookouts. He was an amazing cook and you always wanted him along on a camping trip because you knew you would be eating good if he was there!

He was handy at everything and wasn’t afraid to tackle a big job. If he didn’t know how, he could figure it out. All who knew him knew he was a man of many talents.

Jason also raised purebred German Shorthair dogs and trained them to be great hunting dogs. They usually had a litter of puppies each year.

He was a good friend to many and loved being able to help in any way possible. He would be the first one to give you a dollar even though it might be his last. His best friends from grade school and high school have been blessed by his friendship and will miss his camaraderie, hunting and fishing skills, jokes and his sense of humor (and we can’t forget his stubbornness) along with all of the memorable trips they have enjoyed over the years.

He will most certainly be missed by all who knew him.
