Robert "Bob" Nelsen

Robert Dale Nelsen, Marshfield, was born on December 11, 1943, in Plainview, Nebraska, to Harry and Florance (Hamm) Nelsen. He departed this life on March 9, 2025, in the Marshfield Care Center at the age of 81.

Bob retired from the United States Air Force. He was a longtime truck driver for Virgil Kathol Trucking in Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Norris Nelsen, Glenn Nelsen, Earl Nelsen and Jerry Nelsen.

Bob is survived by his wife, Joan (Heick) Nelsen, of the home; four children, Amy Novak, Christie Zimmerman, Carl Heick, and Tim Heick; his sister, Clara Wiesler, Yankton, SD; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be in Springfield National Cemetery, Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with full military honors, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri.
