Nina Ruth Peak
Nina Ruth Peak, 81, Marshfield, was born February 5, 1940 in Marshfield, MO to William and Edith (Caughran) Yates. She departed this life on October 8, 2021 in her home at the age of 81.
Nina had worked at Tyler Pipe for 35 ½ years, where in 1970 she met her best friend Velma Cummins. They remained friends until Velma passed away in March of 2020. Nina had a great work family. She loved reading, writing, and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed spending Friday nights with her grandkids, cheering (umpiring) from the stands.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chuck Peak; three brothers, Rex, Homer, and James Jarrett; one sister, Gladys Silkey; and two sons, Steven and Randy Peak.
Nina is survived by her children, Daniel Peak and wife Amanda, Marshfield, and Regina Hibner and husband Hank, Willard; sister-in-law, Francie Yates, Corsicana TX; grandchildren, Joe Ashworth (Kate), Fair Grove, Tina Herman (Jacob), Springfield, Emilee Calkins (John), Marshfield, and Dylan Peak, Marshfield ; great-grandchildren, Danielle and Isabella Ashworth, Lilah and Jack Herman, and Jaycee Calkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Graveside services with her son, Steven, will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in Bass Chapel Cemetery.
