Beverly (Culver) Hughes
Beverly Hughes, 77, died Oct. 6, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri after a long illness.
Beverly was born on June 14, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1962 and was a graduate of Burge School of Nursing in 1965. She served as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 4 years before becoming a full-time stay at home mom. She was a devout Christian, a wonderful, loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. Her family and friends described her as very friendly and that she cared greatly for others. She always enjoyed spending time with her son and grandchildren. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Later in life she spent several years as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital. Beverly will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her and there is peace in knowing that she is now in the hands of her Lord and Savior.
Beverly is survived by her son Robert and wife Christine, three grandchildren, Ashleigh Justus and her husband Jake, Libby Kramer, and Lauren Hughes. She is also survived by one sister, Phyllis Purcell and husband Randy, her sister-in-law Patty Culver and her beloved cat Buffy. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maggie Culver, her brother Clayton Culver, her brother Ivan Culver and her daughter Barbara Hughes.
Arrangements are being made by Fraker Funeral Home. Friends may visit Fraker Funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 on Sunday, October 10th. A graveside service is being planned for 2:00 on Monday, October 11th at St. Luke Cemetery, Marshfield, MO.
