April Joyce Redmond

April Joyce Redmond, Marshfield, was born April 20, 1926, to John Neil and Bertha Rosetta (Lord) McKenzie in Perth, Australia and came to the United States. She departed this life June 15, 2022, at Strafford Care Center.

Joyce was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. She was a World War II, War Bride, united in marriage to Eddie Redmond in 1945, he served in the United States Navy. Joyce enjoyed swimming and playing tennis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eddie Redmond; her son, Wayne Redmond; and eleven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Redmond of Marshfield, and Kevin Redmond; her two grandchildren, Johannes Redmond (Jenny) of Denver, Robert McKenzie Redmond (Stephanie) of South Carolina; four great grandchildren, Kylie Redmond, Dylan Redmond, Sierra Brown, and Faith Brown.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be before services from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral Home.

Private Interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
