Johnny Lee Goin, Sr.

Johnny Lee Goin Sr., Marshfield, was born July 2, 1955, to Edward Eugene and Mary Lou (Slavens) Goin. He departed this life June 10, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 66.

He was a welder and of the Baptist faith. He loved drawing, doodling, and art. He enjoyed writing poems, and letters, playing bingo and having fun with friends. In his free time, he also enjoyed reading his Bible and going fishing.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Edward Eugene Goin, Jr., and Jackie Plemmons.

He is survived by six children, Mia Griggs, Springfield, Johnny Lee, Lamar, Timothy Goin, Springfield, Mike Ahearn, Springfield, Raymond Goin, CA, and Tamie Lott (Corey), VA; his siblings, Linda Henry, Springfield,  Darrell Goin (Wanda), Republic, Vicky Quinn (Scott), Marshfield, Denise Kelley, Marshfield, Steve Goin, Columbia, Kevin Goin (Lori), CO, Aaron Goin (Tracy), Marshfield, Lisa McDowel (Michelle), Nixa, Kari Gray, TX, Gregory Goin (Robin), Buffalo; sister-in-law, Kathy Goin, Springfield; brother-in-law, James Plemmons, Marshfield; his grandchildren, Paige, Cole, Abigail, Levi, Silsas, Riese, Draco, Elizabeth, Valerie, Wesley, Logan, and Melody; and great-grandchildren, Oakley, Baylor, and Marlene.

Services will be June 25, 2022, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Marshfield Christian Church.
