Frances Paulette Riddle

Frances Paulette Riddle of Fordland Missouri passed away Friday October 7th at Cox Hospital in Springfield. Paulette passed away surrounded by her children and husband who loved her very much. Paulette was born in New Madrid, Missouri on August 1st, 1943. At 16 she married her husband Earnest Edward Riddle and they have remained married for 63 years. Paulette and Edward had 3 daughters; Lisa married to Larry Reeves, Shelly married to Toby Claxton, and Virginia married to Keith Barton.

Paulette was preceded in death by her mother Minna Lee and father Fred Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister Anita Branson last March. Paulette also has a brother and sister-in-law; Oscar “Butch” and Penny Hunter in Jonesburg, Missouri.

Paulette’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren: Andrew and Tiffany Wooden, Jessica and Braden Daugherty, Meagan Collins, Aleshia Claxton, Austin Barton, and Hunter Barton and great grandchildren Jeremiah Wooden, Jackson Wooden, Juliannah Wooden, Braleigh Wooden.

Paulette enjoyed many things in life. She worked as a real estate agent, salesperson, and as an owner of a marketing company for many years. She loved children. Paulette not only cared for her own children and grandchildren, but many others as well.

Paulette and Edward enjoyed a lengthy and loving marriage for the sixty-three years they were together. They not only traveled to many places but enjoyed boating, fishing, casinos, camping, and their greatest joy family gatherings.

Paulette will be missed greatly by her friends and family. She was known to all as “Mother”. She never got tired of helping get things done that needed to be done. She was fearless when it came to the needs of others. Always selfless, she made certain everyone she knew was cared for and had what they needed. Paulette neither fished nor swam herself, but was known to buy her children and grandchildren, boats, pools, motorcycles, gun cabinets, or anything else she thought they might enjoy. Selfless is too small a word to describe her giving nature.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with visitation to follow services. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Fordland.
