Robert Jason Laycox

 
 

Robert Jason Laycox, son of Charles and Carolin Laycox, was born on March 22, 1952 in Brockton, MA and passed away at his residence in Elkland, Missouri, on December 18, 2022 at the age of 70.

Robert was a Marine and served during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged.  He was a member of American Legion Post 19.  Following his discharge from the Marines, he worked several years as an over the road truck driver.  On May 2, 1998, he was united in marriage with Janetta Solomon. 

During his free time he enjoyed all things NASCAR with Dale Jarrett being his favorite driver.  He also loved to collect coins and knives, enjoyed guns and loved animals, but he especially loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Janetta, of the home; three children Richard Duncan, Jr. (Shannan) of Davenport, IA, Tanya Vick (David) also of Davenport, IA and Patrica Duncan, of Pittsburg, PA; 14 grandchildren: Sarah, Cristina, David Austin, Joseph M., Alyssa, Aaron, Brittany, Michael, Noah, Gavin, James, Joseph D., Grace and Shaylynn; and 4 great-grandchildren: Liam, Leon, Ava and Leila. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 24, 2022 in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy A, Marshfield, Missouri 65706.

Robert has been cremated under the care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
