Mitchell Edward Roetto

Mitchell Edward Roetto, Niangua, was born September 17, 1935 in Webster County, MO to Lawrence and Ethel (Harris) Roetto. He departed this life on January 30, 2022 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 86.

Mitch loved the outdoors-watching the cows, gardening, and fishing. He was a missionary Baptist, and enjoyed spending time reading his Bible. Mitch had worked at Marshfield Steel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Mary Ann Roetto; and his sister, Virginia Potter.

Mitch is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lela (Butts) Roetto, of the home; four children, Michael Wayne Roetto and wife, Diane, Branson, Debra Kay Martin and husband, Greg, Springfield, Diana Lynn Soper and husband, Joe, Rolla, and Cynthia Jean Soper, Columbia; his brother, Richard Gene Roetto, Hollister; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with interment following in Good Hope Cemetery, Niangua. Visitation will be before services in the funeral home from 10-11 a.m.
