Scott Patrick Ireland was born on September 28, 1971, in Keflavik Naval Air Station, Iceland and left us for heaven on January 25, 2022.  Scott grew up traveling the world with his United States Air Force dad, his mom, and his brother David.  When his dad retired from the Air Force in 1985, the family moved to Seymour, Missouri.  Scott attended Seymour High School where he excelled academically and played baseball, basketball and ran track. He graduated in 1989.

He met his wife, Karie, while attending what was then Southwest Missouri State University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1996, beginning a career in teaching, coaching, and school administration. Scott and Karie married in 1997. Their twin sons, Connor and Trevor were born in 2000. Scott loved many things: sports, especially golf, hunting, and fishing, coaching, but he loved his family more than anything.  His sons, Connor and Trevor, and his stepson, David Brunner, were the light of his life.

Scott is survived by his parents, Terry and Helen Ireland of Seymour, wife, Karie and sons, Connor and Trevor of the home, and David Brunner as well as David’s wife, Alicia, and daughters Aubry and Rosie of Perryville, MO. He also leaves his brother, David of Seymour, his niece and goddaughter, Ashly Stroud and husband Gabe and their children, Brady and Myah of Ava, his nephew, Austin Ireland and wife, Keely, and their children Bentley, Maddie and Ivan of Seymour, as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins. He also leaves behind his basketball kids and countless friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Roberta Ireland of Seymour and his maternal grandparents, John and Wilma Harnden of Basehor, Kansas.

The family requests those that wish to express sympathy to consider donating to the Scott Ireland Memorial Fund set up at Arvest Bank, Marshfield, MO. for family needs and to further the education of Scotts children.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Visitation will be Monday, January 31, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
