Peggy Ryder

Peggy Lane Ryder, Springfield, was born August 15, 1937 in Belhaven, NC, to Herman and Mildred (Edwards) Windley. She departed this life on November 30, 2024, at Birch Pointe Health and Rehabilitation in Springfield, at the age of 87.

Peggy attended Norview High School in Norfolk, VA where she was a majorette. She loved dancing and roller skating.

Peggy had worked as a secretary for a real estate company.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Barbara Buck.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Tammy Piburn and Jim, of Marshfield; her son, Michael Fitch and Lisa, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Stephen & wife Katiah of Texas, Alexis, Julian and Barrett of South Carolina, and Christopher of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren; her niece, Terri Buck- Uzzell, NC; and her nephew, Billy Buck, NC.

Services will be at a later date and will be announced by Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
