Sharlene "Pod" Blankenship

Sharlene “Pod” Blankenship, Marshfield, born February 23, 1933, to Earnest and Lucy (Graves) Terry in Niangua, MO. She departed this life on March 15, 2022, in her home at the age of 89.

She worked alongside her husband, Ron, for many years on the family dairy farm. She was a member of High Prairie Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Donna Ray; her brothers, Mink (Russell) Terry, Jack Terry, Jason Terry, Loyde Terry, Mike Terry; her sisters, Jerri Bruce, Floretta Alexander.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Blankenship; her sons, Ronnie and Gail Blankenship of Marshfield, Terry Blankenship of Marshfield; her daughters Brenda Letzig (Don) of Marshfield, Ronna Wheeler of Marshfield, and Regina Blankenship of Springfield; her brother, Carl Lee Terry; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO 65706.
