Timothy L. Slavens, son of John D. and Adra L. (Willis) Slavens, was born February 1, 1969, in Kansas City, MO.  He departed this life at 9:20 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 52.

Tim was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a Charter Member of Elkland Independent Methodist Church. He attended Macks Creek R-5 and graduated in 1987. He started his profession in 1987 with Wal-Mart his entire adult life. Tim was with Wal-Mart for 34 years and attended the Wal-Mart Supercenter grand opening in Marshfield where he worked until passing away. Tim began street racing at 16 years old. He was the Outlaw 10.5 Champ and held the RVW World Record. Tim holds the Steel Body 3.62 World Record and was in several semi finals in RVW races. His first race in ProMod he qualified with biggest and baddest ProMod cars. He was the owner and operator of Absolute Screen Printing and AAA Storage and Autos. Tim loved life, God and his family, friends and his 1966 Chevy Chevelle. Tim was well known all over the world.

Tim was united in marriage to his wife, Michelle Slavens on June 10, 1989. They were high school sweethearts who began dating April 21, 1983. Tim and Michelle had their first child Kaycee Renee Slavens April 13, 1995, and she passed away September 21, 1995. A son Tyler Dean Slavens who was born May 16, 1997. A daughter Hannah Rose (Slavens) Skidmore who was born January 10, 2001, and her husband Kaleb Skidmore and grand dog Murphy.

Tim is preceded in death by his father; John D. Slavens; grandparents, Freeman and Oma Slavens, Jim and Neta Willis; and daughter, Kaycee Renee Slavens.

Tim is survived by his wife, Michelle Slavens; his children, Tyler Dean Slavens, and Hannah Rose (Slavens) Skidmore and her husband Kaleb; mother, Adra Lorene Slavens; brother, David (Kathy) Slavens; nephews, Harrison Sheppard and John Slavens, and his children Wyatt and Brianna Slavens; niece, Samantha Sheppard; Father and Mother in-law, Paul (Martha) Sheppard;  brother in-law, Chris (Michelle) Sheppard, and Matthew Sheppard; and several cousins, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Private family interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Tunas, Mo.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The family requests that guests follow CDC Covid-19 guidelines while at the funeral home.
