Stella Lou Christian

Stella Lou Christian, 56, Marshfield, was born November 21, 1961 in Malden, MO to Samuel and Marion (Carrell) Crider. She departed this life on Monday, July 30, 2018 in her home.

Stella enjoyed many pastimes, including fishing, swimming, darts, camping, and shooting pool. She could often be found in the garden, working with flowers, or at a yard sale.  Stella was the claw machine master. She loved going to church and she collected angels. She loved spending time with her beloved family, cooking and baking for them. She was her family’s best friend, always listening and giving good advice without judgment.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Samuel and Marion Crider; her husband, Benny Christian; and her sister, Faith Crider Dry.

She is survived by her children, Jessie Vermillion (Stacy Moore) Lebanon,  Vanessa Schroeder (Mike) Marshfield, Benjamin Christian (Lori) Marshfield, Jenny Christian (Scott Beard) Hot Springs, AR, Maude Dengel (Jesse) Strafford, and Rollie Christian, Marshfield; her stepchildren, Teresa Bailey (Bruce) Springfield, Sherri Dawson, Columbia, and Ruby Christian (Matthew Price) Springfield; her siblings, Sam Crider, Jr., Marshfield, and Ruth Messimore (Lee) Marshfield, twenty-five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Stella Christian will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with interment following in Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be before the funeral service from 10-11 a.m. Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
