Alberta A. Troop

Alberta Arlene Troop, Marshfield, was born March 20, 1945 in Carroll, Iowa to Jacob and Alice (Lowe) Lorenz. She departed this life on March 16, 2023 in her home at the age of 77.

She was United in marriage with Jonnie Troop on May 29, 1963 and to this union two children were born.

Alberta loved roller skating. She enjoyed crocheting and making afghans for everyone. She collected many things, and had multiple collections for everybody. Alberta had been a skating rink business manager. She was a Southern Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonnie, her parents; her grandson, Bartholomew Allen Troop; and her brother, Allen Lorenz.

Alberta is survived by two children, Cyndi Ridder, Marshfield, and Robert Troop (Glenda), Springfield; brother, Terry Lorenz (Sharon), Idaho; sister, Sherlyn William (Nugget) Chino, CA; sister-in-law, Betsy Lorenz, Riverside, CA; four grandchildren, Jacob Ridder, Alysha Berlin, Nathan Troop, and Laney Burkham; and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Ridder, Kenley Ridder, Jonah Ridder, Ella Rose Burkham, and Nathanel Allen Troop.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 23, 2023 in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc, Marshfield, with interment following in Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
