Oran L. Tummons

Oran Lee Tummons, Elkland,was born August 8, 1938 in Morrisville, MO to Orden and Lassie (Gentry) Tummons. He departed this life on February 13, 2023, in the Strafford Care Center at the age of 84.

Oran worked as a mechanic in Marshfield, owning Orans Garage before moving to Elkland where he spent the rest of his years as a dairy farmer until his retirement. Oran's hobbies included fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. He could often be found sitting under the shade tree just enjoying the beauty of his farm.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; his parents; and nine siblings.

He is survived by two daughters, Pam Johnson, Kansas City, and Sheila Hammons, Sparta; five grandchildren; Travis Hammons, Tracie Sanderson, Levi Hammons, Joshua Johnson, and Stephanie Webb, and several great-grandchildren. Family was truly his greatest treasure and he will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be before the memorial services at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
