Helen Faye Welker

 
 

 Helen Faye Welker was born February 18, 1930 in Plainview, TX, to Elmer and Lela (Saunders) Mooney. She departed this life on November 6, 2023 in Springfield Villa at the age of 93.

Helen had been the owner of Welker Berry Patch, which she loved. She enjoyed bowling nights with Gary and Jackie Fraker. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, and canning. Helen loved spending time with her family, playing and winning in dominos. She was very involved in the Greenwood Community Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert “Dale” Welker; her grandson, Christopher Shutters; her brothers, Truman Mooney and Bob Mooney; her sister, Elaine Lloyd.

Helen is survived by her children, Linda Cook, Springfield, Harvey Welker (Rhonda) Kissee Mills, Shirley Wilson (Rex), Marshfield, Robert Welker, Marshfield, Donna Vincent (Bill), Conway, Susanne Richards (Rick), Perdido Key, FL, David Shutters (Laura), Blue Eye, MO; brothers, Harold Mooney (Debbie) Springfield, Keith Mooney (Karen), League City, TX; sister-in-law, Betty Mooney, Wiley, TX; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
