David A. Haymes

David Almous Haymes, son of Wilford and Irene (Day) Haymes, was born on February 16, 1942, in Conway, Missouri and passed away on November 4, 2023, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of 81.

On February 21, 1962, David was united in marriage with Kathy Krulish and to this union five children were born, all surviving.

David was a rural mail carrier for 29 years and a farmer.  On June 23, 1970, he joined the Elkland Masonic Lodge, and later transferred to the Marshfield Masonic Lodge as a Master Mason.  For many years David and Kathy would travel all over the country square dancing.  He also loved history and working on his and other people’s genealogy, he was a prior board member of the Webster County Historical Society and also, for many years he was on the board and caretaker of the St. Luke’s Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathy, of the home; five children and their spouses: Robert Haymes (Kelly), Chris Haymes (Paulette), Beth Renner (Jamie) all of Conway, James Haymes (Robin) of Buffalo and Laurie Watts (Paul) of Bella Vista, AR; one brother: Wayne Haymes (Susan) of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, with interment following in St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation and masonic services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday before services in the funeral home.
