Deloris "Joan" Bacon

Deloris “Joan” Bacon was born October 29, 1931, she passed away on December 16, 2022.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Loeta Medlock, brothers John & Jesse & sister Jane Larson, her husband Walter Wayne Whitehurst and three children.

She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Curtis Bacon, daughter Beki Rappaport, bonus children, Connie Roberts and Danny Bacon & sister Jean Jones plus many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family throughout the states.

Joan grew up in Niangua, MO and when she was younger, she worked for Royal Typewriter in Springfield. She married & moved to Tulsa with her husband Wayne in the late 60’s. After losing Wayne in 1978 she moved back to Springfield with her daughter Beki.

She was an accountant, bar owner, fishing excursion liaison, florist & lastly a retail clerk. She returned to Tulsa in 2001 to be near her daughter Beki where she met & married Curtis.

Joan enjoyed being creative making floral arrangements, reading, spending time with her girls, having her hair done, trips to Branson & especially going out to eat and shopping with her husband Curtis.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made on behalf of Deloris "Joan" Bacon's funeral expenses.

The family will be having a service at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., in Marshfield, MO on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
