It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Lynne Ellen Beck, nee Livengood, on January 22, 2022 in Springfield, Missouri. Lynne was born on July 12, 1952 to Robert and Vesta Livengood in Peoria, Illinois. She is survived by her two daughters; Mandy (Ryan) and Ann, three grandchildren; Maxwell, Greta and Parker, and her siblings; Karen (John) and Bob (Belinda). She will also be missed by her six loving nieces and nephews and their families.

From a young age, Lynne demonstrated a tremendous yearning to nurture and care for others, as she was known for continuously rescuing stray dogs and cats as a child. Her love for animals continued throughout her life, as she provided a loving home to countless homeless pets. Her passion for animals expanded into wild animal rehabilitation, where she cared for numerous birds and baby animals until they were healthy enough to return to the wild.

Lynne’s caring nature was also reflected in her long career as a registered nurse. Throughout her nursing career, she selflessly served patients in the areas of pediatrics, fertility and orthopedics. Following her retirement, she generously provided in-home care to her mother during the final years of her life.

Lynne will be remembered by her family and friends for her contagious laugh, and her compassion for others. She will also be remembered for her great love of the ocean, where she always felt most at peace while on a beach.
