Harry James Ledgerwood, 76, of Marshfield, Missouri, passed away on July 16, 2023 at 6:47 a.m. after a recent illness.

Harry was born on January 1, 1947 to John C. Ledgerwood and Marie Rardin Ledgerwood in West Plains, Missouri.

Harry graduated from Parkview High School in 1965 and was an alumni of MSU.

When he was a senior in high school he started his career as a tool and die apprentice at Royal Typewriter. This led to a 43-year career in engineering design (including many patents) and management with what is now known as Tyler Pipe and Coupling in Marshfield, MO.

He cofounded H&M Machine Shop in 1991.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1964 and completed boot camp at the Great Lakes Naval Station. He served on the U.S.S. Grand Canyon from 1966-1967 during the Vietnam Conflict in the Mediterranean.

In 1963, Harry met the love of his life, Dorine Elizabeth Williams, which led to a 60-year relationship, in which the last 56 years they were married and had 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Over the years Harry’s interests included hunting and fishing, truck pulling, and activities with his church. In his later years spoiling the grandkids, helping with projects with his kids and squirrel hunting with his dog Rowdy.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mark and wife Pam, brother-in-law Bob Griter, his mother and father-in-law Clarance and Mary Williams, and his brother-in-law Mike Williams.

Harry is survived by his wife Dorine, son Michael and wife April, daughter Laura Caskey and husband Zeke, son Jeremiah and wife Amanda. Grandchildren Michael Paul Ledgerwood and wife Danielle, Izabella Caskey, Sierra Ledgerwood and Savannah Ledgerwood. Great-granddaughter Jaeydin Ledgerwood. Sister Janice Griter. Brother and sister-in-law Randy and Nancy Williams. Three aunts and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends he has touched over the years.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, in the Marshfield Assembly of God Church, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Olive, MO. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
