Nadine Ann Rozell

 
 

Nadine Ann Claussen-Rozell, Hollister, MO., was born in Cedar Creek, MO. on October 21st, 1940 and peacefully passed away at Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab, Hollister, MO. on September 24th, 2023 at the age of 82.

She was the 1st child of Elmer and Vergie Williams-Claussen. Nadine graduated from the Forsyth High School and had many jobs in her life; Royal Typewriter in Springfield, MO. and Sears in Branson, MO., but her favorite job was being a housewife who loved gardening, working in her flower beds, fishing, family gatherings, and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was married several times, thus, her numerous “kids” and “relations”, but her last marriage was to James “Bud” Rozell. Nadine was a dutiful and loving wife to “Bud” and took care of him until his passing on June 2nd, 2009.

In January of 2016 Nadine was diagnosed with dementia and moved from her home in Marshfield, MO. to Hollister, MO. to the Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab where she was beloved by all the wonderful staff members who always gave her unconditional love and the utmost care until her last breath. She was referred there as “Sassy pants” because of her caustic wit & colorful metaphors!

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Garry and Theron Claussen; her husband James “Bud” Rozell; stepchildren John Wayne Rozell and Jackie Englert; grandsons Austin Cole Sanders and Kelby Rozell.

Nadine is survived by her two daughters Dede Sanders (Terry) Branson, MO. and Kelli Rozell Stafford, MO.; stepdaughter Anita Rozell Northview, MO.; stepsons, Mike Andrews (Lydia), Lowell, AR., Keith Andrews (Debbie), Claremore, OK., and Gary Andrews (Trilla) Claremore, OK; eight grandchildren, Evan, Tiffany (James), Colby (Karrie), Amy (Mel), Scott (Rachel), Brad (Amanda), Lindsay (Simmons), and Lucas; thirteen great-grand children; and two great-great grandchildren; and her fur-baby ‘Sandy’ of Branson, MO.

Graveside services will be at 10 AM Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at Welch Cemetery, Northview, MO. under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in honor/memory of Nadine Rozell to the Alzheimer’s Association.
